The Zur Rose Pharma GmbH has been operating one of the most modern logistics centres since December 2004. As a service provider, our company organizes, inter alia, the complete pharmaceutical distribution for leading mail order pharmacies in Germany, like the Zur Rose pharmacy and the VfG – Versandapotheke für Gesundheit. However, regional pharmacies or health care companies can also profit from the logistics competence of Zur Rose Pharma GmbH.

The logistics and service centre in Halle/Saale makes a quick, discrete and safe shipping of packages with prescription and non-prescription medications across Germany – direct to a home address or address of choice. The approximately 100 staff workers make sure that our partners’ customers receive their pharmaceuticals within 24 hours.

In order to be able to process the daily ordered volume of up to 10,000 orders quickly and with a high degree of quality, the Zur Rose Pharma GmbH relies on a modern computer assisted retrieval system. The WCS-controlled conveyer represents the connector of all process steps with the retrieval process, which transports the reusable containers through all retrieval areas from the automatic order submission to the order’s final inspection.

The overwhelming majority of the order items are processed in order related parallel commissioning using DDP. In addition, the “pick by light” technology is used in this commissioning step. The parallel commissioning is supplemented by a commissioning device for fast moving items, which dispenses the requested article directly into the reusable container.

Medication safety is the highest priority for the Zur Rose Pharma GmbH. That is why temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals, special mixtures or individual blister packs for patients are retrieved and sent appropriately.
